鈴木亜久里の新F1チーム名(2005年11月02日)

きのう発表があった鈴木亜久里氏の新F1チーム。このチーム名が「スーパーアグリフォーミュラワン(SUPER AGURI FORMULA 1)」。はっきりいって、聞いた瞬間「ださっ！」って思いました(笑)。

でも、いままでF1ってチーム代表の名前を使っている例って多いんですよね。ウィリアムズもマクラーレンもそうだし、今年でなくなるけどザウバーやジョーダンも。あ、でもファーストネーム使っているのは珍しいかもしれない。それにしても、なんで「ださっ！」って思うんだろ。「スーパー」ってついているからかなぁ。

昔、化学や物理の授業のときにも同じようなことを考えたことがありました。単位に人の名前がつくことがよくありますよね。1ニュートンとか、1パスカルとか。これは、科学者の功績をたたえる意味で、単位に名前が使われているわけですよね。で、思ったのが、もし、日本人の科学者が何か画期的な研究をして、それが認められたら日本人の名前が単位に使われることになるわけですよね。じゃ、たとえば、山田さんが何か発見して、それの単位として「1ヤマダ」とか言われるようになるのかなぁと・・・そのとき、やっぱり「ださっ！」って思ったものでした。

なんだろ、これはやっぱり無意識の英語(欧米)コンプレックスだったりするのかな？？？

Aguriっていうのは、かっこいいんですよね。
少なくとも、私の周りにはいません、こんな素敵な名前。
おっしゃる通り「スーパー」ってのが、個人的にはかっ（以下略）でした（苦笑）。

ってことで、おそらく、無意識の英語コンプレックスとかぢゃないと思いますよ。
まぁ、あくまで私の個人的感想で、ファンの方々には申し訳ない意見かもしれませんが。
